National Music Centre is providing live music to keep you grooving and moving while you shop. All of the book sale profits is used to lead Calgary Reads programs. Don’t skip out on the best book sale of the year!
We’ll also be showing off some Little Free Libraries this year. If you’re curious about these little beauties, some check them out at the sale, and pick up some information on how to build one of your own. Little Free Libraries promote literacy and the love of books by building free book exchanges worldwide.
Have you noticed all the books being re-created into art? Books are the newest, hottest medium for artists to carve, paint and up-cycle. We’ll have some book-based artwork on display to inspire you.
And did you know that CBC – Calgary Reads Book Sale rewards their volunteers and donors with unique behind-the-scenes privileges, like admission to the Spread the Word pre-sale event?
